These are some of the few image I took on Dartmoor for my research -
Unfortunately I was unable to go with the rest of the class on the college trip due to being ill, so these are the image I went out and took in my own time to make up for what I had missed, I did have the option of going to a local park and taking images and making a game around the park but I felt it was up to me to catch up on what I had missed and stick with my original research I had done about Dartmoor that I had done prior to taking these pictures.
21 Images have been enlarged these are my most Favorited out of the selection on my Blogger.
I will add a short description to them about why i like the photo and why I had taken it.

This shot gave me inspiration for a scene in my game where you have to travel though the dark woods following the clues you found or maybe trying to find your way back onto the Moorland and out of the woods.
I took this photo to show the wild life you can find by just driving through Dartmoor, I could also use this animal in the background of some of my scenes.
I took this photo to some some of the insects you can find on Dartmoor. I could also use this image as inspection for a close up shot in my game.
I took this photo because I wanted to document the different ground textures, as I need to get a feel for the different area's of Dartmoor, this type of ground was found by trees.
I took this photo as I liked the pattern of the cut down wood and the almost start shape in the middle of it.
I took this photo as it gave my inspiration for one of the clues in my children's game, instead of pony hair it could be a tufted of black panther fur.
I took this photo because this looked like a good type of tree I could use as a make shift bridge in my game I like the moss and layers of dirt on the tree it makes it look old and as if it's been untouched for a long time. I also like the patter in the wood.
I took this photo because it looks like part of a paw print, using this photo I might be able to manipulate it to look like a cat paw print, this could be used as a clue for my child's game.
I took this photo because the barrier and off limits places on Dartmoor are ether fences or barb wire, I could use the barb wire as a barrier for off limits part in my game or as an obstacle to get around ("This path way is blocked by barbed wire you will have to find another way around.")
I took this photo because I like the pebble dash effect this was on a post, but I could use this texture on a wall or something else in y game.
I took this photo because it was a very common plant found all over Dartmoor because of it being so common I would be best to incorporate it in my game.
I took this photo to document the types of rock found on Dartmoor and what areas they are found and if there is a pattern of different objects in different areas of Dartmoor. I tend to of found these rocks in grassy areas.
I took this photo as this could also be used as a clue to use in my game like the barbed wire image but I could found in a different location of Dartmoor.
I took this photo as it is very different to some of the other landscape images I took, this landscape looks quite empty as it has no trees and the grass is very dry and almost looks dead. This image gave me inspection for my game as I could put the wild cat on the top of the rock formation, my character could us a pair of binoculars to spot it.
I took this photo to show the textures of the rocks, I like this type of rock and would like to use this type in the scenery of my game.
I took this photo to show what different type of plant life that grow on these types of rock.
I took this photo to show a different type of scene in Dartmoor,I really like the rock formation I found and would really like to be able to incorporate it into my game.
I took this photo to show how vast the wildlife is in Dartmoor it is everywhere and there is evidence of wildlife everywhere. We had to stop the car to let the Sheep cross the road.
I took this photo to remind myself of the different backgrounds and backdrops I could use in my game.
I took this photo as it gave me inspiration for a pathway in my game, I would like to take this image and make the scene a bit darker, obstruct the end of the pathway to make it look on going.
I manipulated this image to make the end of the path look distorted so you cant see what's coming up. i could use this as a game screen if I add tokens. My game will be in a first persons view so the images I have taken is how the player will see the game.

I manipulated this image to look like a paw print this is going to be a clue in my game. The character will need to document the clues using a camera, to keep track of the clues and to get closer to finishing the "big cat of Dartmoor" The player will have to find all the clues in one area to continue onto the next.
When the character has taken a photo of A clue it will be put into they're inventory and placed into a folder, the image will give some information of where it was found, how long it has been there and what hits this clue gives about what direction the "big cat of Dartmoor" has gone in. I have made this image black and white to make it look dramatic and to give the a old detective film feel to the image.
I added this sign post as a warning to the character that something bad could be coming up perhaps a diversion, or they have gone the wrong way and have to travel back to find the right path. I think this sign post is self explanatory which is why I have chosen this particulate sign to my image.
I drew a sketch of my Panther and imported into Photoshop added colour to my sketch.
I then imported this image, this is not one of my photos from Dartmoor this image is from a photo I took on in Turkey. I then masked the image and made the panther look like it was hiding behind the trees then distorted the image in keeping with my theme. I then made a black background and cut out 2 ovals so that it looked as if the character was looking though binoculars. The panther doesn't look as clear or as crisp as it did before the distortion, however the legend of the black panther is from people seeing shadows of the Black Beast so I think it keeps with the legend. You almost have to take a second gimps at it to realise it is the panther.
This is the game screen when the play has found a clue. These Icons will be explained to the player before starting.
There is a scrap book where the player can look at clues found and check what clues they are missing.
A magnifying glass to look at things that could be clues more costly.
Binoculars to look at things in the distance or see the surrounding area. They also give hints on where to go next if the player is stuck for example highlighting a path way.
A camera to document clues to keep in the scrap book.
A map to help you navigate thought the moors this shows other areas you can enter and shows where reaming the remaining clues could be.
In the bottom left hand corner it shows a paw print with a number out of 5 this is how many clues you have left to find in this area.
I created an in Game, Game screen.
The bottom bat is pink to indicate the player is female it would be blue for a boy.
